Denis Killen Memorial Cycle 2016

Well the 2016 Over the Quoile/Denis Killen Memorial cycle is over for another year.  A turnout of 190 today which we think is a record turnout and blessed with beautiful cycling weather. So thanks to everyone for coming along and supporting our sportive and associated charities. Thanks to the external teams of marshals and ambulance backup who all worked very efficiently and GAA cleaning ladies who got in early to get the clubhouse ready for us. Also our own teams on registration, food and broom wagons. The Stick for the excellent catering. Again everything worked very smoothly in spite of the higher than expected numbers. I think I had the very last Mars bar at Dolly Brae so hope everyone else got one ! Above all it was great to have Angela Killen and so many of her family there to help out and also partake in the cycling. We hope the event can be a lasting tribute to Denis into the future. Hopefully everyone got home safely and enjoyed the day.
